Otra Ciudad. Estás invitado a publicar.

Garry Winogrand decía que fotografiaba para ver cómo saldrían fotografiadas las cosas mientras que William Eggleston decía estar en lucha contra lo evidente. Hay más profundidad en esas palabras de lo que aparentan a primera vista. El mundo se transforma a través de la cámara y nos muestra partes del iceberg que no vemos en la superficie de la realidad. La pelea en la toma de cada imagen y el esfuerzo para deshacernos de la mayor parte de ellas por estúpidas y evidentes como nosotros mismos suele dejar escasos buenos resultados que además suelen no sobrevivir a una segunda revisión.

Me gustaría que este blog fuera una galería para todos aquellos que quieren contar la ciudad con sus fotografías en lucha contra lo superficial y evidente, la Otra Ciudad, la ciudad de los fotógrafos.

Al final lo importante en la fotografía es lo registrado por la cámara y no lo que se fotografió, que quedó como algo anecdótico y que cumplió su función para hablar a través del fotógrafo de algo más. A veces pienso cuando miro las fotografías que me gustan, que las personas, los edificios,… , que hay en ellas han dejado de ser lo que eran para convertirse en entes con presencia propia en otro mundo, síntomas y reflejos pulidos y enfocados de lo que en su momento vi por la cámara.

Quién con sus fotografías quiera estar aquí después de luchar contra lo evidente, que esté.

Me gustaría que cada fotografía llevara al menos el nombre de su autor, la fecha de realización y el lugar, y un enlace a su web en caso de que tenga. Además de cualquier sugerencia del autor. Cada uno se colocará a la derecha, en la zona de autores.

Garry Winogrand said “I photograph to see what the world looks like in photographs”
while William Eggleston said to be in fighting the obvious. There is more
depth in those words of what appear at first glance. The world is
transformed through the camera and shows parts of the iceberg that we do
not see on the surface of reality. The fighting in the image and making
every effort to get rid of most of them stupid and obvious as ourselves
often leave little success also tend not survive a second review.

I would like to see this blog as a gallery for all those who want to tell
the city with their photographs in front of the superficial and obvious
things, Another Town, the city of photographers.

At the end the important thing in photography is as captured by the camera
and not what was photographed, as something that was anecdotal and that
fulfilled his role to speak through the photographer else. Sometimes I
think when I look at the pictures I like, people, buildings,…, is on them
are no longer what they were to become their own entities with a presence
in another world, symptoms and reflexes polished and focused on what I saw
that in due course by the camera.

Who wants his photographs to be here after fighting the obvious, that it’s
up to you.

I wish that every photo take at least the name of its author, date and
place of execution, and a link to your site should have. In addition to
any suggestion of the author. Each will be placed on the right side of,
at the author’s area.
